We don’t have a vested interest here, you know we’re always up front about these things, but we do know the lovely people behind Stargazy a new rum brand that’s shaking up what's currently out there. Nothing overtly piratey about this product but there are still connections to Cornwall: it’s bottled there, is the second rum brand created by the same people behind Dead Man’s Fingers and owners of the “Rum & Crab Shack” in St Ives. Stargazy is a caramel rum liqueur, a blend of aged rum, caramel, Cornish sea salt with subtle hints of gorseflower and coconut which you pick up as soon as you pop the cork.

If you’re looking for a stunning gift, something new for a cocktail enthusiast, this bottle with Biba vibes will shine a bright light from any drinks trolley. We think it makes a delicious alternative to dessert wine and have enjoyed it straight on the rocks (before AND after dinner), mixed with apple juice and fresh lime and we’ve pimped an espresso martini to make a lush caramel version; those of you who’ve followed us from the start know how much we love our cocktails. We have to admit we’re not especially experts on the baking front but we’ve been told Stargazy can be added to create next level brownies and that it makes a delicious extra ingredient in an Affagato. For Christmas pudding haters this could be a great alternative on the big day!
